Welcome!

Hey Barracudas!

Thanks for registering for the 2024 Barracudas swim season! We are getting excited for summer and hope you are too! Our schedule has been posted on the website with dates for meets and other events throughout the season.

Registration Closing Soon! Our team is looking strong with over 160 swimmers registered for summer 2024! Registration is closing but there are still a few spots left, especially for older swimmers (11+). If you want to swim a relay with your besties, remind them to register!

Last call for Barracudas Merchandise! We will close the shop on Thursday 03/28 in order to get everything printed by Get Your Gear Day on 04/20. Head to the team store for hats, visors, tanks, dry fit shirts, and more! Personalized swim caps are a great way to spot your swimmer in the crowd! Get 2 for $25. https://www.bcwbarracudas.com/shop

KalahariTeam Day June 5th! Our team event this season will be @ Kalahari Water Park. Thursday, March 28th is the last day to purchase tickets at our special group rate, which includes a slice of pizza and a drink. Please note this is an optional event that is a fun opportunity for Barracuda families to get together for a day of fun outside of practices/meets. You’re welcome to purchase additional tickets for non-Barracuda siblings, caregivers, grandparents, etc. Childcare and transportation are not included. Plan on providing your own transportation or carpool to/from the waterpark and ensure your child is attending the event with a responsible adult (no drop offs).

“Get Your Gear” Day will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Coach Ryan and members of the Board will be available for questions. Swim Freak will be there selling our official team suit as well as other great gear. Note: the team suit is your uniform and all swimmers are expected to wear it to every meet. It is not included in the cost of registration.

Weather permitting, Coach Ryan will also be offering swim skills evaluations if you aren’t sure your swimmer meets the qualifications. As a reminder, in order to join the team, we expect all swimmers to be able to safely swim the length of the pool (25 yd) unassisted within 1 min and 30 seconds. If a swimmer can't do that, there is too much risk from a safety perspective for them to join the team, and we are happy to offer a refund, less an administration fee. We can also recommend some excellent learn to swim programs so your swimmer can be team-ready next season.

New Families - we’re excited to have you on the team! It can seem overwhelming at first, but there are a lot of resources to get you cruising at Barracuda speed. We’ll reach out to you before the first meet, but in the meantime, check out our website for information on the volunteer roles, for a “Swim Meets 101” overview and other helpful information.

See you in the Pool!
