Hi Barracudas!

Great job by swimmers and volunteers! That away meet was a TALL order: a tri-meet with an early start time on the eve of the last day of school going into a holiday weekend, and our volunteers and swimmers showed up on time and ready to swim. 

We are lucky to have an amazing crew of parents and volunteers-- and the swimmers are pretty great, too!  Results from the meet are posted: www.bcwbarracudas.com -> Schedule -> Swim Meets & Events page. Once there, you will have to click on “past events” at the upper right and look for the linked files.

Make-up Meet on May 31 @ Barton Creek Country Club

We have yet another short week before we travel to Barton Creek Country Club to makeup the meet that was cancelled due to possible inclement weather on Wednesday May 31 @ 5pm. This meet will be a quick “intrasquad format” meet -> IM, Free Relay, Free, Back, Breast, Fly. No late relays. This is a great opportunity to get some additional swims in this season!

RSVP for events deadline is Tuesday @ 9am. It’s a very busy weekend with end of school activities AND Memorial Day travel, so please consider entering your RSVP now if you can! If you are not 100% sure you will make it on Wednesday, pick ONLY individual events, and mark “not available for relays”!! If you know you won’t be there, select "not attending" so we don’t worry about you.

If you are attending, please plan on volunteering if possible.  Job sign-ups are open and we need more help to make this happen.

Practice Changes

First off, NO PRACTICE today (Friday May 26th) or MONDAY May 29th due to the Memorial Day holiday. Enjoy your time with your family celebrating the end of the school year!

On Tuesday, May 30th we switch to the MORNING PRACTICE SCHEDULE. You can refer to the Practice Schedule Page here for more details. 

Volunteer Reminder

Remember we are a volunteer swim team! We need all families to contribute a minimum of 4 shift points during the season to make the team successful, more are appreciated! You can see your own upcoming job shifts and total points by looking at “My Account” on the top right of the www.bcwbarracudas.com web page.

Job opportunities for future meets are now open for the remainder of the season. You can select new jobs or remove jobs if you will not be able to attend, and please make sure your family fulfills the 4 shift point agreement. Any questions? Email to [email protected]

Other Notes

• Lost and found is filling up! Check out the box next time you're at practice.
• Practice Groups -> some of our age groups have a lot of swimmers. Unless it is has been worked out ahead of time with the Coach or support your swimmer needs to attend their normal practice time. Sometimes that means missing practice that day.
