Great job at the make-up meet against BCCC last night, Barracudas! Lots of personal best times and another handful of new all-star qualifiers, and most participants sending solid (see "Special Meets" section below) seed times into the remaining meets. Chomp, chomp, chomp!

Meet: Sat June 3 Riverplace @ BCW

Registration closes on Thursday 6/1 at 7pm. Please remember that this meet will run with only seed times from regular meets this season. We have special meets coming up that require times from this season so we want everyone to know where they stand.

We are back at home after a few away meets, and we still have quite a few shifts to fill for this home meet. If you can, please hop on line and lend an extra hand, especially if you have not yet met the 4 shift point requirement.

• Lost and found is filling up! Check out the box next time you're at practice-- PLEASE! We have very little room and need to get these items back home.

Special Meets - Medal & All-Star Invitational

We have 2 special meets during our swim season (see the swim meets and events page) that require a bit of planning! There is NO NEGOTIATION on the rules for these meets!

First, the Medal Meet on June 24 @ BCW. The medal meet is really fun because instead of ribbons, kids get medals! Medals will be distributed at the end of season party. To be able to swim an event in the meet they will need to have a valid (no DQ) time in the event from this season. Plan early, work with the coaches, and get the qualifying times! Remember - a successful swim is more valuable than an illegal fast swim!

Second, the All-Star Invitational Meet hosted by Westwood requires a specific qualifying time from the current season. We have been handing out rainbow ribbons for those that have qualified! More information is available on the Barracuda home page under Schedule -> All Star Invitational.

Schlitterbahn Team Day!

Tickets purchased for the Friday June 9th Barracuda Family day will be delivered over the next 2-3 days via email.

As a special one time courtesy to the Barracudas, Schlitterbahn has extended the deadline for purchase to Friday, June 2, at 8:00am. Purchase through the Barracuda web page.

Volunteer Reminder -

Remember we are a volunteer swim team! We need all families to contribute a minimum of 4 shift points during the season to make the team successful, more are appreciated! You can see your own upcoming job shifts and total points by looking at “My Account” on the top right of the www.bcwbarracudas.com web page.

Job opportunities for future meets will be opening 2 weeks prior to the meet. At that time you can select new jobs or remove jobs if you will not be able to attend. Any questions to [email protected].
