Barracuda Swimmers -

We are opening up registration starting this Sunday (TOMORROW)!! Information about the 2024 season can be found on the Barracudas homepage page www.bcwbarracudas.com. You will be able to find a league update, the practice schedule (same as last year), the league meet schedule (one week shorter), and the team event info (Kalahari on June 5).

Like last year, we will be asking everyone to sign up for 2 volunteer shifts during registration and complete a total of 4 shifts during the season.

As outlined on the registration page, we are registering swimmers in four stages, please be sure to register in your specific heat -

• Heat 1: Members of the Barton Creek West HOA
  • Opens: Sunday March 17 @ 12noon
  • Register early! Guaranteed registration only until Heat 2 opens
• Heat 2: Returning & Former Barracuda Families (new siblings too!)
  • Opens: Wednesday March 20 @ 5pm
  • Register early! Guaranteed registration only until Heat 3 opens
• Heat 3: BCE Students & Alumni / WRMS Students & Alumni
  • Opens: Sunday March 24 @ 5pm - Will be a waitlist processed in order
  • Let your friends know!!!
• Heat 4: All Other Families
  • Opens: Wednesday March 27 @ 5pm - ON WAITLIST
  • We will process the wait list the following weekend
• April 3: Cut-off Date to receive the Team Tee Shirt
  • Due to production time, registrations after this date will not include a shirt.

It is important that you register early! We are providing priority to returning barracudas, but will not be able to hold spots once the roster fills up. Please feel free to share this information with other community members that may not be on the list.

We are still looking for a few Volunteer Leads: concessions, starter, awards, and events. Please email [email protected] if you have any interest in taking on a Lead position for this season. We can’t do this without you!

We are again looking for assistant coaches & helpers. Either paid or volunteer (great for HS graduation and college applications). Email [email protected] if you are interested and the Board will reach out as soon as a time for interviews has been set.

Sponsorship opportunities remain. Get your sponsorship in before the team shirts get ordered.
