Barracuda Weekly Update

Hi Barracudas!

Starting off with an urgent Reminder for Kalahari Barracuda Family Day Attendees: Everyone who purchased tickets should have received an email this morning. This email contains important information about the day. Pay special attention If you need to request a voucher and won't be attending on Wednesday, please read the email carefully and follow the necessary steps.

And now back to the usual weekly update!

Saturday was our final home meet of the season, and we knocked it out of the pool! We hosted 300 swimmers, and 40% of our Barracudas chomped through the competition with new personal bests, earning red, white, and blue ribbons. The best ribbons! Chomp chomp chomp!

Results from the meet are posted:www.bcwbarracudas.com -> Schedule -> Swim Meets & Events page. Once there, you will have to click on “past events” at the upper right and look for the linked files.

A quick note on older kids ribbons. If your swimmer 13&over (and more specifically 15&over) didn’t get expected ribbons for from any meet this season, please email at the usual [email protected] . We have identified an issue with the ribbon label process that may have skipped some kids. We're happy to make it up, but not clear which were missed.

Check out the rest of this mail for upcoming details and keep an eye on the Swim Meets & Events Calendar on the Barracudas home page for information about the remainder of the season! Just 2 weeks left!

Go Barracudas!

Next Meet is AWAY at the Lake Hills Splashers pool and LAST regular meet

This is our final meet before the championship and our first (and only) away meet of the season. We will be traveling to the Splashers Pool by Lake Austin, off Cuernavaca. Barracuda warm-ups are scheduled from 7:30 to 7:55 AM, and the meet will begin at 8:00 AM. We expect the meet to conclude around noon, but this timing will be confirmed on Thursday.

This is the LAST meet to try new events. Be sure to have your kids talk to the coaches if they are ready to try a new stroke. It's the last chance. The champ meet will require valid times and 2 splashes to participate.

RSVP for events deadline is Thursday @ noon.If you are not 100% sure you will make it on Saturday, pick ONLY individual events, and mark “not available for relays”!! If you know you won’t be there, select "not attending" so we don’t worry about you.

If you are attending, please plan on volunteering if possible.Job sign-ups are open and we need more help to make this happen. Meet details and RSVP can be found on the Swim Meets & Events page.

Volunteer Reminder

Remember we are a volunteer swim team! We need all families to contribute a minimum of 4 shift points during the season to make the team successful, more are appreciated! You can see your own upcoming job shifts and total points by looking at “My Account” on the top right of the www.bcwbarracudas.com web page. Please check it now!

If you are struggling to find a spot and have less than 3, please contact us at [email protected] and we will help you out. We do require families to be on track for their volunteer points of the season to participate in the Champ meet.
