Barracuda Weekly Update - Last week of practice

Hi Barracudas!

Cannot believe the season is almost complete!

Great job by the swimmers and volunteers at our only away meet of the regular season! It was an impressive performance on the road (and by the lake), with 144 new personal bests achieved this weekend. This brings our season total to a whopping 1198 personal best ribbons, the very best ribbon! Way to go Barracudas! (results always posted on the SwimTopia app and on the Swim Meets & Events calendar)

Barracudas will wrap up swimming with the Champs Meet on Saturday at Round Rock. This meet will have the popular rainbow heat winner ribbons! And medals (to 20th place!) instead of ribbons for place awards. It’s a bit of a drive, but it gives us a fantastic pool that can host all the teams in the league together for the ultimate competition and should be an exciting end to the summer swim season. Chomp Chomp Chomp!

We will close out the summer of Barracuda fun with an end of season party at the BCW pool on Wednesday June 19th. Pickup remaining ribbons, medals, memory mate photo. There will be swimming, dunk tank, water slides and of course food! RSVPs open on the calendar page.

Finally, please check out your volunteer status. This is a totally volunteer run organization, the kids wouldn’t be swimming without everyone's help - https://www.bcwbarracudas.com/personal - we appreciate 4 shifts from everyone to keep it all going. We just need to get through the champs meet and the party!

Oops, almost forgot...  Fun Friday! Fun Friday! Fun Friday!

More details continue below.

  See you at the pool!

Next Meet is the Champs Meet on Saturday at RRISD Aquatic Center

This is our last meet of the season and will be a Champs Meet with all 5 teams competing in the same pool! The meet is divided into 2 sessions - 8&under with a 10am warmup and 10:35am start and 9&over with a 2pm warmup and 2:35pm start.

RSVP for events deadline was today @ noon.

You can verify your entries by clicking on the Meets & Events Calendar, find the event, and click on “Meet Entries - Closed”. (Meets & Events Calendar). We can make last minute changes through 9pm this evening if you accidentally missed ([email protected]). We have tried to email or text everyone that didn’t reply so there are no surprises. Sorry for all the extra spam.

If you are attending champs, please plan on volunteering if possible.Job sign-ups are open and we need more help to make this happen. Meet details and RSVP can be found on the Swim Meets & Events page.

End of Season Party - June 19th - RSVP

Our last event of the season is the End of Season Party. We will have water slides, dunk tanks, and fun time in the pool together as a team! Some volunteers have offered to grill out for the party, so we’ll have some great food and snacks to enjoy as well!
