Coaches Corner -

Hi everyone! Our first “official” meet of the season was a blast – all the coaches are so proud of the kids’ hard work. Despite a most unusual week; two weather cancellations along with a temporary ant infestation, our swimmers were focused and maintained fantastic attitudes.

As we progress further into the season, it is my and Coach Peter’s goal to balance sets designed to push our swimmer’s aerobic capacities with concentrated stroke work. Because the summer league season is short, a swimmer will make the greatest gains by increasing the efficiency of their stroke. This is particularly important in the younger age groups, but remains important throughout any athlete’s swimming career. As we are in another short practice week, the focus will be on start, turns, freestyle and back technique.

As always, email is the best way to reach one of the head coaches. Especially as our practice time is so limited, this is best way to communicate without disrupting on-deck time. We are so grateful for such an awesome group of swim families – see everyone at the pool!

LCCC @ BCW Meet this Saturday -

Deadline is Wednesday and heat sheets will be published Thursday night. Please be careful on signing up for relays. We had many late relay changes this week that were difficult to deal with. If you're not very sure on your schedule, please mark “not available for any relays”.   If you "might" have a baseball game, then please mark "not available for any relays" and let the Age Group Parent know when you arrive if your swimmer can fill in on a relay.

BCW @ Rollingwood Meet next week -

Deadline for this meet is early.  We need responses by Monday 5/22/17 @ 8:00pm.  The meet is on Thursday with warmup starting at 5:00pm and meet start at 5:30pm. Please allow for traffic. Lots of things going on that day.  High School Graduation, Elementary school graduation, dodgeball, and the list goes on. We had the choice of swimming Rollingwood or swimming one less meet. We didn’t want to pass up on the swim opportunity for those that can make it. Let's make the best of it!

Volunteer Reminder -
