Coach's Corner (with Coach Peter)
Hey swimmers! What a great job this past weekend swimming against our friends from Westwood! They are undoubtedly a very fast team, but so are we! The coaches saw a lot of excellent swims, and we gave out a lot of personal best ribbons on Monday. Remember that we only have one more "regular" meet before the Medal Meet and All Star Meet. That means this weekend will be your last opportunity to swim an event that you do not have a time in! Thanks for a great season so far, Barracudas! See you at the pool!
This Saturday's meet at Lake Hills:
We have our only Saturday morning away meet of the season this Saturday. Lake Hills is located up Cuernavaca along Lake Austin; the full address is 3106 Edgewater, Austin, TX 78733. Take Cuernavaca, then left on Mecca, then eventually right on Edgewater. Parking is extremely tight there - you will be parking in front of someone's house and walking to the pool, so leave time for that. Our warmup is from 7:30am-8am. Our "base" will be on the far side of the pool from the road - toward the lake. Please keep your swimmers out of the lake. If you see us setting up tents in the grassy area, feel free to help out. :)
There are a few volunteer jobs open right now (age group parent for a couple groups, timers, setup/tents) as well, so please take a look if you aren't already signed up.

Parent Relay - we're going to have a parents and coaches relay at this meet. If you are interested in participating, reply to this email and let me know before Friday night. You should bring or wear a suit to the meet. The race itself is usually in the middle of the meet.
One more thing... Lake Hills is coached by the head coaches of Westlake High School's swim team - Steve Navarro and Alison Soelter. They have asked me to pass along info about the swim camp they run at this same Lake Hills Pool the week after our season ends (June 26-30). You probably saw it in the BCE and WRMS school newsletters, but if not, you can read more at their website. If you're a prospective high school swimmer, it might be helpful to attend.
Party RSVP - If you haven't RSVP'd for our end of season party, please use this link to RSVP. We need to know how many people are coming so we order enough food...
