Coach's Corner (with Coach Peter)

We have almost reached the finish line! Only two more practices, two more meets, and one awesome team banquet to go! Unfortunately, Coach JT, Coach Ryan, and I will be absent from the team banquet. We wish we could be there for the Chick-fil-A, family relays, and just plain fun of the team party, but we know Coach Rachel, Coach Madeline, Coach Catherine, and Coach Lauryn will hold it down! The two most important meets of the season are upon us, and all of the coaches know that y'all will swim lights out! Let's have a great last two days of practice and end the season on a high note! See you at the pool!

Friday's Medal Meet Info

Location: Austin Country Club (near 360 bridge)
Time: Warmup is 4:25-4:50; meet starts 5pm.
Directions: Turn right/east at Westlake Drive stoplight, left on first street, straight through into ACC.
Food: Country Club concessions will be open; typically a decent buffet.   Or go to Maudie's afterwards.  Alcohol will be sold to adults not volunteering (or done volunteering) at the meet.
Ribbons/Medals:  Heat Ribbons like normal; Medals for 1st-8th place individual; Medals for 1st-6th relays.
Oddity: ACC's pool only has 5 lanes, instead of usual 6; we may do something special to get 6th place relay medal options, so bear with us.

Scratches: Make sure you email the team email ( [email protected] ) instead of Brian individually this week!

We do need more volunteers for this meet - some age groups don't have any age group parents.

End-of-Season Party Info

Chick-Fil-A will be served.   Family Relays will happen; adults should bring suits.  Ribbons, medals and trophies will be distributed.   Many hired life guards will be watching the pool.  Please RSVP on the site if you haven't already.  If you will not be there, you can pick up medals/trophies/etc at the pool from the life guards any time before Labor Day when the pool is open (mostly 10a-8p every day but Mondays).

Monday's All-Star Meet

At this point, anyone who has qualified for all-stars individually OR is being invited to fill our one relay team in each age/gender/event should already have gotten separate emails with details.   Anyone who qualifies on Friday can still participate in the all-star meet, and we'll reach out to you after Friday - if not during the meet if we see it.   If your swimmer hasn't qualified individually and hasn't gotten a separate email about the 4 all-star relay spots in that age/gender/event group, then you can have a relaxing Monday evening.

Lost & Found Update

The lost & found is located near the drinking fountain in the bath house.   There are literally dozens of shirts, and many other items like towels, shoes, goggles, folding chairs, etc.   Please check it the next time you're at the pool.   Anything unclaimed is donated to charity after Labor Day.
